Vietnam and Italy are working to strengthen their economic and trade cooperation. During the 7th meeting of the Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation in June 2022 they agreed to reach a bilateral trade value of $6 billion in 2023 and $10 billion in next years.
In 2021, bilateral trade grew by 21 percent, reaching pre-pandemic volumes. A Vietnam-Italy economic cooperation forum was held in Rome in September 2022, with the participation of companies seeking for cooperation opportunities.
